He continues to work to quench his creative thirst but doesn’t strive to appease any one individual other than his inner self.

PAULO ARÉCHIGA
Originally from San Diego; Paulo’s work has been influenced mainly from his personal experience growing up in a border town.  He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts from San Diego State University with an emphasis in Painting/Printmaking; he also worked on post graduate studies for two years at the Academy of Fine arts in Florence, Italy.
Avoiding any political or social views early in his career; he has been primarily inspired by the human form, however his subconscious forces him to bring up issues that are very politically and socially inclined.
One of his main focuses is to merge two very distinct approaches to art.  One approach being a very academic/classical mentality, inspired by The Great Masters.  The second approach a conceptual/modern mentality, inspired by artist such as Robert Irwin, Mark Rothko, Rufino Tamayo and Ed Ruscha.
