Carole Hanks is a studio artist whose subject is the human figure and its nature. Her mediums are painting and drawing.
In 1989 she returned to the United States from Ontario, Canada where she had lectured for nineteen years in art, craft and design history at Sheridan College School of Design. She has degrees in art history and in studio art.
She has been in group and solo shows since 1973. Her most recent solo exhibition, in 2006, was held at Studio Triptych gallery in Phoenix.
She currently works out of her studio at Garfield Galleria. The studio is open occasionally on First Friday evenings for downtown Phoenix's art walk. Appointments may be made for other times.
